The work for which bids are asked includes the following: Resurfacing 13th Drive from Czech Avenue (north of Carter Creek) to Cypress Avenue, including 1 mile of full road width pulverizing, 2,500 ton 1 1/4-inch or 3/4-inch base course dense, 1,380 ton 4 MT 58-26 S hot mix asphalt pavement to provide a 20' wide road, 300 ton 3/4-inch base course dense to provide 2- foot wide shoulders, saw cutting ends and driveways, turf restoration of all areas disturbed outside of the shoulder, traffic control and other items necessary to provide a complete and functional road. Bid shall include all costs for payment and performance bond equal to the bid amount, liability insurance including a $100,000/$100,000/$500,000 Workers Compensation, $2,000,000 Excess or Umbrella Contractors General Liability, $1,000,000 Automobile, $2,000,000 Contractual Liability Bodily Injury or Property Damage and naming the Town of Preston as additional insured. Contractor shall provide Engineers Certification as required by the WisDOT LRIP program. All work shall be completed by October 30, 2022 and in accordance with the Standard Specification for Structure and Highway Construction. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The project is funded in part by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation Local Road Improvement Program (LRIP). The Town reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
