Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Springfield, Nebraska. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Material only procurement package for 165,000+ LF of 4710 HDPE force main piping consisting primarily of 14" & 20" pipe. There is a smaller share of 16", 24", 30", 36", & 48" pipe on the project. HDD trenchless installation requires SDR 11 pipe, while all other applications require SDR 21. Pipe lengths should be delivered in 50 ft lengths. This proposal package will procure HDPE pipe of all sizes for all work segments (listed below), and will include HDPE bends, fittings, electrofusion couplings, and other required material accessories. Monthly rental pricing for HDPE fusion machines (machine only, no operator labor) should be provided as an alternate for consideration. Costs should be provided as dollar per linear foot ($/LF) were applicable. Hawkins Construction is the Construction Manager at Risk (CMaR) for this project. The proposed project area is generally located between the City of Springfield’s Wastewater Treatment Facility (SWWTF) at 17305 S Hwy 50 and extends east to the City of Omaha’s Papillion Creek Waste Resource Recovery Facility (PCWRRF) located at 15705 Harlan Lewis Road in Bellevue, Nebraska. The project is commonly referred to as Phase 1A of the system. Phase 1A will include three (3) lift stations, approximately 16 miles each of 20" & 14" HDPE force main interceptor and approximately 1.5 miles of gravity main interceptor. Teaming Approach: As Construction Manager, Hawkins Construction prequalified "Team Members" who will be allowed to propose and perform the force main and gravity sewer pipe work. These team members are Hawkins Construction of Omaha, NE, Heimes Corp of Omaha, NE, and Van Kirk Brothers Contracting of Sutton, NE. The work will consist of 7 separate bid packages as follows: Pipe Procurement (Material Only) Lift Stations (3 separate locations) - HCC acting as CM/GC Zweibel Creek Gravity Interceptor Force Main Segment 1 Force Main Segment 2 Force Main Segment 3 Force Main Segment 4 The project duration can generally be described as 24 months beginning in August 2022.
