Site work for a sidewalk / parking lot in Knoxville, Tennessee. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The work consists of installation of: 10,230 feet of thermoplastic crosswalk markings, 4,390 feet of Stop Line Markings, 100 Shared Lane Markings, 33 Bicycle and Arrow symbols and any other work needed to complete the project as directed by the engineer and any other work needed to complete the project as directed by the Engineer. As soon as the bid prices have been compared, the Owner will return the bonds of all except the three lowest responsible Bidders. When the Agreement is executed, the bonds of the two (2) remaining unsuccessful Bidders will be returned. The Bid Bond of the successful Bidder will be retained until the Payment Bond and Performance Bond have been executed and approved, after which it will be returned. A Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price, with a corporate surety approved by the Owner, will be required for the faithful performance of the Contract. The City may waive technicalities concerning bid documents and may follow up with individual organizations after the bid opening to obtain such documents when it is in the best interests of the City. The City of Knoxville reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids, to evaluate bids, and to accept any bid which, in its opinion, may be in the best interest of the City.
