Site work and paving for a road / highway in Marshall, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
PURPOSE: The Virginia Department of Transportation herein referred to as "VDOT" is soliciting bids from qualified firms to provide roadway subgrade stabilization on Interstate 66 West Bound, Mile Marker 32.1 bridge abutments on and off over Broad Run in Fauquier County, VA. This work shall consist of furnishing; boring; drilling; placing of tubing; pumping of chemical grout and appurtenances into the subgrade, while monitoring at the surface, to effect the stabilization of the subgrade, filling voids between the bottom of the existing slab and the subgrade, and strengthening the subgrade to a degree that will support the traffic load. Traffic Control shall be included in per pound bid rate. Comments: Provide roadway subgrade stabilization per attached Scope of Work and :VDOT Special Provision for Stabilizing Roadway Subgrade" NOTE: See Scope of Work - estimated pounds amended to read: 10,500 lbs.
