This project includes the following upgrades: Base Bid: I. Redevelopment of Well 3. Refurbish Discharge Head; Replacement of Vertical Line Shaft Motor, 25 Hp, Vertical Line Shaft Pump Bowl Assembly, Stuffing Box, Line Shafts and Spiders; Replacement of Column Pipe, Airline, Water-level Access Drop Pipe, and Water-Level Direct Read Gauge; Replacement of two (2) Gate Valves, one (1) combination air-release/vacuum valve, and one (1) Check Valve; Replacement of one (1) Chlorine Injection Pump; Replacement of one (1) Venturi Flow Meter; Replacement of one (1) flow transmitter; and Inspect and Replace one (1) wellhead base plate. II. Redevelopment of Well 10. Refurbish Discharge Head; Inspect Motor; Inspect and Replace Vertical Line Shaft Pump Bowl Assembly (if required), Stuffing Box, Line Shafts and Spiders; Replacement of Column Pipe, Airline, Water-Level Access Drop Pipe, and Water-Level Direct Read Gauge; Replacement of one (1) Gate Valve, one (1) combination air-release/vacuum valve, and one (1) Check Valve; and Inspect and Replace one (1) wellhead baseplate. III. Redevelopment of Well 4. Refurbish Discharge Head; Inspect Motor; Inspect and Replace Vertical Line Shaft Pump (if required), Stuffing Box, Line Shafts and Spiders; Replacement of Column Pipe, Airline, Water-Level Access Drop Pipe, and Water-Level Direct Read Gauge; Replacement of one (1) combination air-release/vacuum valve, and one (1) Surge Release Valve; and Inspect and Replace one (1) wellhead baseplate. IV. Redevelopment of Well 4A. Refurbish Discharge Head; Inspect Motor; Inspect and Replace Vertical Line Shaft Pump (if required), Stuffing Box, Line Shafts and Spiders; Replacement of Column Pipe, Airline, Water-Level Access Drop Pipe, and Water-Level Direct Read Gauge; Replacement of one (1) combination air-release/vacuum valve; and Inspect and Replace one (1) wellhead baseplate A certified check or cashier's check made payable to the Township of Parsippany-Troy Hills, or a duly executed bid bond in the amount of 10% of each bid, but in no case in excess of $20,000.00, must be deposited by the bidder together with a Certificate of Surety evidencing that he can obtain the required Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount of the contract. The successful bidder shall be required to deliver to the Township an executed Performance Bond of the responsible indemnity company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey. In lieu of a Certificate of Surety, the bidder may submit, at the bid opening, a certified check or cashier's check in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount of the bid. Bidders are required to comply with requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq and N.J.A.C. 17:27.
