All work for the Project shall be constructed in accordance with the Project Documents prepared by the Engineer. Bids shall be submitted for furnishing, delivering, and installing all materials, equipment and services, including labor for the project, which generally involves the following activities: Re-rating the existing Belleview WRF to a capacity of 1.0 MGD by replacing the existing influent lift station pumps with three 30 hp pumps, adding one 7.5 hp filter feed pump, replacing the existing blower sheave belts at the SBR, replacing one existing blower with one new blower in kind, removing and replacing two disc filters in their existing location, and replacing the existing effluent pumps with two 50 hp submersible pumps. Contractors shall be licensed in the State of Florida and provide a list of similar projects and references (name and contact information) performed by the contractor within the past 10 years. The similar projects shall include at least 5 projects at wastewater treatment facilities and 3 projects with bypass pumping Construction time to achieve Substantial Completion is 270 consecutive calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed, with an additional 60 consecutive calendar days to achieve Final Completion. A 5% bid security will be required for this project. The Owner will require that the Contractor furnish a Performance and Payment Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Price. All Payment and Performance Bonds shall be secured from or countersigned by an agency or surety company recognized in good standing and authorized to do business in the State of Florida. All bids shall be prepared using the Project Documents. Addenda will be sent via e-mail to all plan holders up to 72 hours before the Bid closing time. The Owner/Engineer is not responsible for delivery of addenda to prospective bidders.
