GENERAL The scope of this Invitation for Bid (IFB) is for the FY22 Suisun Bay & NY Slough Maintenance Dredging Project, Solano and Contra Costa Counties, California. The work includes annual maintenance dredging of the Suisun Bay and NY Slough Channel to -35-ft (MLLW) plus 1 ft of paid over-depth and Bulls Head Channel (Reach 2) to -37-ft (MLLW) plus 1 ft of paid over-depth and transporting of the dredged material to a Contractor furnished beneficial reuse upland site. This requirement is for a small business set-aside competition and will be awarded with a single Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) contract. The work to be performed by the contractor and all subcontractors and suppliers qualifies for an exemption from the requirements of California Executive Order N-33-20, dated March 19, 2020, requiring individuals to stay at home to reduce the transmission of COVID-19. The work is exempt because it is needed to maintain continuity of operations of the Governments [waterways or facilities] critical infrastructure sector. The work of suppliers for the contract may also be needed to maintain continuity of operations of the Defense Industrial Base critical infrastructure sector. The work is also exempt from the various California County shelter-in-place orders because it is necessary to the operations and maintenance of Essential Infrastructure, which under those orders includes public works construction The work includes annual maintenance dredging of the Suisun Bay and NY Slough Channel to -35-ft (MLLW) plus 1 ft of paid overdepth and Bulls Head Channel (Reach 2) to -37-ft (MLLW) plus 1 ft of paid overdepth and transporting of the dredged material to a Contractor furnished beneficial reuse upland site.
