The City of San Ramon invites qualified contractors to submit qualifications and proposals in response to this RFQ/P for Curb Ramp Construction & Misc. Concrete Repairs (CIPs 000005, 000008, and other CIPs as needed). Deadline for RFQ/P Questions: Five Days before Bid Opening The Project is located in various neighborhoods in the City of San Ramon, within the limits of the Pavement Management 2022 & 2023 Projects and other locations as needed. The Project is described as follows: demolition, and reconstruction of approximately 130 curb ramps to meet current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and City requirements. The work also includes miscellaneous concrete repairs of sidewalks, curbs, gutters, valley gutters, median curbs, driveways, and similar items. The items listed in this contract are to be completed prior to the asphalt concrete pavement phase of the Pavement Management 2022 & 2023 Projects. The Project must be complete in at least two phases. For each phase, the City will issue a Work Order. Work Order No. 1 and Work Order No. 2 are related to the Pavement Management 2022 & 2023 Projects, respectively. Any other work order afterwards is related to as-needed cases. Work Order No. 1 consists of the reconstruction of approximately 20 ADA curb ramps and all miscellaneous concrete repairs in the same neighborhoods. Work Order No. 2 is the reconstruction of approximately 100 ADA curb ramps and all miscellaneous concrete repairs in the same neighborhoods. The Project must be complete in at least two phases. For each phase, the City will issue a Work Order. The City estimates issuing Work Order No. 1 by July 1, 2022 and providing 20 working days for its completion. Work Order No. 2 will be issued by August 1, 2022 and the City will provide 80 working days for its completion. This Project requires a valid California contractor's license for the following classification(s): A or C-8. Pursuant to California Labor Code 1720 et seq., this Project is subject to the prevailing wage requirements applicable to the locality in which the Work is to be performed for each craft, classification or type of worker needed to perform the Work, including employer payments for health and welfare, pension, vacation, apprenticeship and similar purposes. The Bid Proposal must be accompanied by bid security of ten percent of the maximum bid amount, in the form of a cashier's or certified check made payable to City, or a bid bond executed by a surety licensed to do business in the State of California on the Bid Bond form included with the Contract Documents. The bid security must guarantee that within ten days after City issues the Notice of Potential Award, the successful bidder will execute the Contract and submit the payment, performance, and warranty bonds, insurance certificates and endorsements, and any other submittals required by the Contract Documents and as specified in the Notice of Potential Award. The successful bidder will be required to provide performance and payment bonds, each for 100% of the Contract Price, as further specified in the Contract Documents. The successful bidder will be required to provide a warranty bond for 15% of the Contract Price, or as otherwise specified in the Contract Documents.
