The City of Unalaska is seeking proposals for janitorial services for the above named Department and Facility pursuant to the attached Janitorial Service Questions Call Melissa Tamboa at (907) 581-1251 Outside Area; North and South Entry Doors: Pick up litter and debris outside front doors Clean fronts of doors and windows Sweep concrete in front of both doors Clean and straighten boot cleaners North and South Entries on Ground Floor: Remove any garbage or litter Wipe down inside of front door Clean small windows and windowsill beside front door Clean large window and windowsill near bottom of stairs in alcove Wipe off top and sides of heater Clean both sides of window and windowsill above heater Wipe both sides of interior door leading into hallway Wipe off scuffs, handprints and dirt on walls and floor trim Dust overhead light fixture Spot clean carpet Vacuum entry carpet; Vacuum carpeting under the rug, then vacuum the rug. North and South Stairs and Stairwells: Remove any garbage or litter Wipe handrails and bannisters Wipe off scuffs, handprints and dirt on walls and stair trim Spot clean carpet Vacuum carpet North and South Second Floor Entry Areas: Remove any garbage or litter Clean large windows and windowsills at top of stairs Clean both sides of window and windowsills beside interior door Wipe both sides of interior door leading into hallway Wipe off scuffs, handprints and dirt on walls and floor trim Dust overhead light fixture(s) Spot clean carpet Vacuum carpet First and Second Floor Hallways: Dust overhead light fixtures and ceiling corners Wipe off fire extinguisher cases Wipe off scuffs, handprints and dirt on walls and floor trim Spot clean carpet Vacuum carpet The Eight Plex is located at 18 Ptarmigan Road, Unalaska and consists of common areas, and 8 housing units. The janitorial contractor will be required to clean the common areas only one day per week. All work must be performed Monday - Friday between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. The Proposals are requested for a Five (5) year contract beginning July 1, 2022, and ending on June 30, 2027. The City of Unalaska reserves the right to reject any and all proposals.
