Gravel to be crushed at different locations in Harding County. Harding County is asking bidders to submit bids for crushing, per location site: Helms Pit 40,000 cubic yards more or less Craig Pass Pit 45,000 yards more or less Bid price for both pits to include removal of overburden, removal of crushable material, crushing of gravel and replacement of overburden. Bidders will be allowed to bid one or both pits to be crushed. Crusher must take up to ten inch (10) rock. The gravel will meet the following gradation: 1 = 100; 3/4 = 80-100; 1/2 = 65-90; 4 = 46-70; 40 = 15-40; 200 = 5-15 Bidders are reminded that it is their responsibility to familiarize themselves with the pit locations and materials. Completion of the crushing and overburden replacement shall be no later than November 15, 2022. $500 per day penalty may be assessed against the successful bidder if the bidder has not completed the project by that date. Successful bidder shall furnish Workers Compensation or Affidavit of Exempt Status, applicable taxes, other insurance and all other incidentals. Any and all Sub-contractors will be required to file the same documents and information as the primary bidder. The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to accept or reject any or all BIDS. To waive any informality in the BID received and to accept the BID that is to the advantage of, and in the best interest of, Harding County. Bids shall be sealed and marked GRAVEL CRUSHING. The Board requests seven (7) copies of the bid.
