2022 Asphalt Paving Services The City of Athens is seeking sealed bids for Street Asphalt Paving Services on an as needed basis for existing streets in Athens, Texas for the period of one year, with the option to renew for one additional year. If mutually agreed to by the City and Contractor, contract renewal will be at a negotiated price that does not to exceed 5% of the Contractor's price listed in this bid. This specification is not to be interpreted restrictive, but rather as a measure of the safety, quality, performance, and overall cost of all services bid will be compared. Contract will be awarded to the bidder which best serves the interests of the City of Athens considering experience, references, best price, and compliance with these specifications. The City of Athens reserves the right to reject any or all bids or any part thereof and to waive any minor technicalities.
