Site work for a pipeline in Lead, South Dakota. Completed plans call for site work for a pipeline.

The South Dakota Science and Technology Authority (SDSTA) is requesting bids for a remote activated stench gas system to alert the underground in case of emergency at the Sanford Underground Research Facility, located in Lead South Dakota. Entities interested in bidding on this project are responsible for providing a bid for the following: A five (5) unit remote activated stench gas alert system located throughout the underground facility that can all be discharged from multiple locations located underground and/or on the surface, while also having the capability to operate each unit manually. The primary scope of work for this project will be to provide SDSTA with a bid for the following equipment and services needed to have a fully functioning remote activated stench gas alert system that can release all units simultaneously. Equipment/service requirements include: 1. Five (5) remote/manually activated stench systems located at the specific locations below where Wi-Fi network/ethernet and 110V power is available: a. Yates Ramp b. Ross Ramp c. Yates 4850L Station d. Ross 4850L Station e. 1700L 9L 2. Two (2) remote activation consoles to release stench at all 5 locations simultaneously. 3. Human Machine Interface (HMI) screen or web interface to monitor all aspects of the stench alert system. 4. Equipped with a powder coated steel enclosure with a NEMA 4X rating or similar enclosure to protect from corrosion and underground environmental hazards. 5. Capable of dispersing stench through a minimum of 50 feet of vent tubing or more. 6. Critical components of the system should be used of stainless steel. 7. Pressure gauges for each cylinder monitoring that will be integrated into the HMI/web interface. 8. Manual override valves in case of lost connection to network. 9. Please define number of hours available on uninterrupted power supply (UPS) battery backup. 10. Warning light indicating operation of unit.
