Lee County Board of County Commissioners seeks to contract with a qualified CONSULTANT to provide Materials Testing and Threshold Inspections for the Public Safety Center Expansion. BACKGROUND INFORMATION 2.1. The COUNTY will be expanding its current Emergency Operations Center (EOC) by approximately 37,000 square feet. The following are some of the key aspects of the project: 2.1.1. Moving the Emergency Dispatch Centers into the EOC expanded facility including Lee County Sheriff's Office, Emergency Management System (EMS) Lee Control, and D.O.T. Traffic. 2.1.2. Expanding the restroom facilities and adding showers and a kitchenette breakroom. 2.1.3. Expanding the office space to include additional offices for Emergency Management Staff and offices for additional 25-30 workstations. 2.1.4. Adding a multi-purpose room for 150 people that includes movable partitions. 2.1.5. A Bunkroom space and additional storage space. 2.1.6. The expansion shall include a courtyard space between the existing EOC facility and EOC expansion. 2.1.7. Add pedestrian access from the current Dispatch Center to the EOC Facility and additional parking spaces. 2.1.8. Add a County vehicle refueling dispenser for gasoline and diesel. 2.1.9. Upgrading the existing SIT (Situation) Room; Audio/Video and associated equipment including the Smart Wall.
