Site work and new construction of a stadium in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Completed plans call for the construction of a stadium; and for site work for a stadium.
This project is to construct a new annex building containing a weight room, batting cages, video coaching room and a meeting room next to the Veterans Memorial Stadium, 950 Rockford Road SW, Cedar Rapids. This annex is needed to comply with MLB facility requirements. Early State Date: May 25, 2022 Final Completion: March 31, 2023 Bid security, as defined in Section 26.8 of the Iowa Code, in the amount of FIVE percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid. The successful bidder shall be required to provide performance and payment bonds, each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract Price. The City Council of the City of Cedar Rapids reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities and technicalities, and to enter such contracts as it deems in the best interest of the City. The City reserves the right to defer acceptance of any proposal for 45 calendar days after the bids have been received and opened.
