Construction of Vermillion New Source of Supply The major items of WORK are included in TWO (2) CONTRACTS, A and B. Contract A includes installing two new water wells, abandonment of two existing water wells, well pumps and piping, well house with meter/control room, separate chemical feed room, controls/ communication systems and equipment, emergency generator with automatic transfer switch, fencing, electrical work, supply and distribution piping approximately 4,040 If of 6" C-900 PVC, connections to new water tower, existing waterlines, pig launching and receiving pits, approximately 900 If of 1" and 2" PE service line, 19 valves, 11 service connections, 14 meter pits with ARM meters and new ARM system, 3 fire hydrants, waterline connections and abandonments as required, site/surfacing restoration, erosion and traffic control, and all other work for a complete and operating as intended system. Contract B includes the design and erection of a new welded steel 35,000 gallon elevated potable water storage tank, complete with foundation, piping, electric mixer, connection to other piping work, electrical, relocating the EMS antenna and equipment from the existing water tower to the new water tower; decommissioning, removal and disposal of the existing water tower, site clean up, and any and all other items for a complete and operating as intended system Bid Security of 5% will be required in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
