The Contractor shall commence work under this project on or before the fifth (5) day following the project start date indicated on the Notice to Proceed issued by the City of Peoria and shall fully complete all work under the project within Three Hundred Sixty-Five (365) calendar days. The Contractor shall, at all times, during the continuance of the Contract, prosecute the work with such force and equipment as is sufficient to complete all work within the time specified. Non-revocable bid security payable to the City of Peoria in the amount of 10% of the total bid price is required. This security shall be in the form of a bid bond, certified check or cashier's check and must be in the possession of the City of Peoria, Materials Management Division by the due date and time cited for this solicitation. The contractor shall be required to furnish non-revocable security binding the contractor to provide faithful performance of the contract in the amount of 100% of the total contract price payable to the City of Peoria The contractor shall be required to furnish non-revocable security for the protection of all persons supplying labor and material to the contractor or any subcontractor for the performance of any work related to the contract. Payment security shall be in the amount of 100% of the total contract price and be payable to the City of Peoria. The Scope of Work shall be performed in accordance with MAG Standard Specifications Section 104 and the following amendments and supplements thereto: MAG Subsection 104.1 Work to be Done is modified to ADD the following: "The proposed project will consist of a reclaimed waterline installation within the City of Peoria. The project will provide a reclaimed system backbone to prepare for future growth in the northern extents of the City and include but not be limited to piping, restoration and/or replacement of pavement, concrete improvements, and landscaping. New reclaimed waterlines will be constructed along the following streets as part of this segment: o Along N. 107th Ave from Pinnacle Peak Road to Happy Valley Road. o Along Tierra Del Rio Boulevard from Happy Valley Road to Jomax Parkway. o Along W. Jomax Road from Jomax Parkway to 101st Lane. The types of work on this project shall include, but not be limited to the following: o Installation of reclaimed water piping, fittings, connections, valves, and plugs o Vertical realignment of the proposed reclaimed waterline and/or existing utilities at utility crossings when vertical conflicts are discovered. o Removal and replacement of AC pavement o Removal and replacement of unpaved driving surfaces o Removal and replacement of concrete curb and gutter and sidewalk o Removal and replacement of existing landscaping and irrigation o Removal and replacement of existing fencing and guide cable railing o Traffic control and barricading o Construction surveying and as-builts o Seal and fill pavement cracks o Pavement striping and markings o Application of slurry seal on existing roadways o Trenchless casing installation o Reclaimed water combination valves
