This Request for Proposals (the RFP) is an invitation by Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health (WDGPH) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for the provision of preventative maintenance services for commercial systems at WDGPH Guelph, Orangeville and Fergus offices, as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix D) (the Deliverables). WDGPH is a public health unit located in Ontario with offices in Guelph, Orangeville and Fergus and requires a contractor to provide commercial HVAC preventative maintenance services at each of our offices. Our Guelph and Orangeville offices have gas HVAC systems while our Fergus office has no gas-powered equipment. Below is a high level summary of the HVAC systems at each office: 160 Chancellors Way - Guelph: - Closed loop glycol/water cooling system - 48 separate heat pumps over 4 floors. - Closed circuit Cooling Tower and associated controller - 2 Lochinvar Boilers - Commercial Hot Water tank - 4 variable Speed Circulating Pumps and associated controllers - Associated duct work connected to independent heat pumps - Energy Recovery Ventilation System - Stainless Steel Plate Exchanger - Johnson Controls based Building Automated System installed by Empire Controls - Exhaust fans - Negative Pressure area in clinical space - Thermolec in duct heating unit - Electric wall mounted heaters in stairways and entrances - Ductless split unit to support additional cooling in server room - Glycol Loop Expansion tanks 180 Broadway Ave. - Orangeville: - 4 Rooftop Units (2 serving 1st floor, the others serving 2nd and 3rd floors) - 2 Furnaces serving basement - 2 ac units (cu-1 and cu-2) - 7 exhaust fans - Negative pressure space in clinic area - Air Make Up unit - 2 heat recovery units -4 ductless splits - 2 Hot water heater - 2 Neptronic Humidifiers - In Duct Thermolec heater - 10 electric wall mounted heaters in stairwells and building entrances 490 Charles Allan Way - Fergus: The Fergus office is unique as most of the heating and cooling components are managed by the owner, The County of Wellington. However we have areas that require additional cooling such as the server room, reprocessing rooms and the vaccine room. Each of the rooms are cooled with either ductless splits or evaporative cooling units.
