The City of Scotts Valley is seeking qualified firms for on-call service in the following category: Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) Design. Work shall be issued by the City Engineer to support the programming, design, and construction of projects in the City's Public Works Department - Engineering Division. The City will execute separate agreements by on-call category. Such agreements are valid for three years with an option to extend contract terms, on an annual basis, for up to two additional years thereafter. Services will include work related to City buildings, facilities, and other public infrastructure and programs.The project contact will be: Tyler Thomas, Maintenance Division Manager Tthomas@scottsvalley.org On-call services are structured to support the programming, design, and construction of projects in the Engineering Division. Such projects may include masterplans, buildings,facilities, and public infrastructure (streets, sidewalks, utilities, etc.). Work shall be requested by the City on an as-needed basis and paid according to an approved rate schedule. Candidates may apply for one, or multiple, on-call service categories where firm expertise aligns with the scope of work. Separate proposals will be required for each category applied and the City may execute agreements with multiple firms. The City of Scotts Valley is a residential community located in Santa Cruz County, just south of Silicon Valley. The City is approximately 4.6 square miles in size with a population of approximately 12,000. The City currently has a funded Capital Improvement Program in the amount of $7.8M and is looking for support from on-call providers to complete projects. Project categories include: Wastewater, Transportation, Storm Drains, Parks, General Facilities, Police, and The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
