Renovation of a residential development in Centreville, Maryland. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
The Bidder shall provide procurement and installation of the following energy efficiency measures and all necessary supplies for up to 42 residential units in the Queen Annes Housing Authority property called Foxxtown Apartments. Each of these deliverables shall include cost effective measures that directly contribute to energy savings and/or facilitate energy conservation behavioral practices in Maryland. Program benefits low-to-moderate income homes in Queen Annes County to install cost-effective energy efficiency upgrades and weatherization services. Questions for this procurement can be sent to DHCS@qac.org and the question period will close on May 4, 2022 at 4:00 PM. Questions and Answers will be posted by Addenda by 4:00 PM on May 5, 2022. Any Addenda issued shall be posted on:electronically Bidders are directed to the provisions of the Instructions to Bidders for additional information governing the bidding process The County Commissioners of Queen Annes County reserve the right to waive any informalities and to reject any or all bids. No bidder may withdraw his bid within thirty (30) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Bids are to remain open for thirty (30) days. The contract will be for a period of up to two months after Notice to Proceed (NTP) has been given by the County. We anticipate all work to be complete by July 31, 2022, at the latest. BID SECURITY Bid Security is required to accompany all bids in excess of $100,000. The Bid Security shall be in the amount of 5% of the Total Bid. Bid security may be in the form of a legally executed Bid Bond in the State of Maryland, on AIA Form A310, or in the form of a Certified Check issued to the County Commissioners of Queen Annes County, Maryland. Bid Security shall be forfeited to the County Commissioners of Queen Annes County, Maryland if the Bidder fails to honor the obligation of the bid. Bid Security shall be returned to the Bidders after faithful execution of the Agreement and furnishing of all Payment and Performance Bonds, rejection of all Bids, or expiration of the specified time that all bids shall remain in effect. PERFORMANCE AND OTHER BONDS Section 9.2 and Table 2 - Bonding Requirements of the Countys Procurement Policy describes the Countys requirements as to Performance and Payment Bonds. The approved bidder shall within fourteen days of issuance of the Notice of Award furnish Performance and Payment Bonds each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract amount. Bids less than $100,000 require no bonding.
