It is the intent of The State University of New York College at Brockport to hire a consultant to provide design services for Hartwell Hall MEP upgrades. Hartwell Hall, constructed from 1938 through 1941, was SUNY Brockport's primary building for all college functions. The building has had many modifications and upgrades throughout the decades. The entire building was taken off-line in the mid 1990's for a major renovation project, which included exterior rehabilitation and interior "gut" and replacement of all mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. Minor upgrades have taken place since the 1990's rehab to update interior finishes and roof replacement. A project to replace the buildings boiler system is planned for the summer of 2022. The services indicated below shall include, but not be limited to the following: Removal and replacement of the existing electrical distribution center and associated motor control center within the boiler room. Removal and replacement of the buildings existing chiller and cooling tower equipment, and associated pumps, piping and control systems. Removal and replacement of one or two packaged AHU's. Addition of cooling coils and associated piping/controls to AHU's #14 & #15. Removal and replacement of the existing domestic hot water system. Removal of all pneumatic control systems and replacement with direct digital control systems. Replacement or retrofit of all existing building light fixtures not currently LED. Removal and replacement of drinking fountains and other outdated plumbing fixtures. Replacement or retrofit of existing HVAC equipment including terminal units like VAV boxes, fan coils, unit ventilators, .. Additional acoustic and cosmetic upgrades to classroom and office areas as needed. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
