The Housing Project No. 2 project site is located on a 2.8-acre site bounded by Haste Street on the north, Bowditch Street on the east, Dwight Way on the south and commercial properties on the west. The site is located three blocks south of the Berkeley campus and adjacent to the Telegraph Avenue commercial district. The project includes student housing to accommodate up to 1,100 beds in apartment-style units and associated amenities such as study rooms and lounges, laundry facilities, and fitness space. The building will include outdoor resident space, office space, event and meeting space, and a market-style retail food space on the ground floor. The project also includes 1.7acres of open landscaped area. The Construction Estimate for this project is $240 million.
