Site work for a water / sewer project in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project is to capture surface drainage in the gravel warehouse parking lot. Conveyance of storm water will need to be below the parking lot and tie into existing infrastructure that transmits storm water to the campus retention pond. The parking lot is planned to be paved in the future. The parking lot was originally at the elevation of the railroad tracks and was infilled with debris/rubble so storm infrastructure would need to accommodate those existing conditions. Roof drains are already tied into underground storm infrastructure, but the design team will need to review the design if these should be rerouted or tied into the work with this project. The construction budget for the project is $485,000, but be advised that this number is subject to change. The project will need to be designed and ready for bid advertisement by the January 2023. Construction is anticipated to occur in either the 2023 or the 2024 construction season. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
