The Project consists of Wastewater Treatment Facility (WWTF) and lift station improvements located in Leeton, Missouri. 1. The Work of this Contract consists of modifying the existing WWTF and lift stations. Major elements of construction include the following: a. Sitework and earthwork. b. Installation of aeration blowers and piping system in Cell 1. c. Removal of sludge in the Lagoon Cells. d. Addition of transfer structures. e. Addition of Lagoon Nitrification System. f. Construction of a new ultraviolet disinfection system and structure. g. Electrical power distribution. Power feed and distribution systems to accommodate loads. h. Controls i. Construction of a clarifier. j. Material Testing k. Training and startup services. l. Demobilization B. The existing WWTF must remain in operation and sequencing of the Work must be coordinated with the Owner. 1. The lagoons must remain fully operational throughout the duration of construction. 2. Where interruption of existing facilities is necessary, the Contractor is to plan their work in cooperation with facility operating personnel for the least possible disruption of service. Night or weekend work may be necessary. When facility operation must be suspended because of the Contractor's work, they shall have all necessary materials and equipment on hand and have ample work force available prior to beginning the work.
