The work as shown on the plans and as specified herein shall consist of approximately 12,000 linear feet of water main replacement. Work also includes, but is not limited to, pavement removal, storm sewer upgrades to water main quality pipe where necessary, trench backfill, pavement patching, HMA surface course, driveway apron removal and replacement, landscape restoration and all incidential and collateral work necessary to complete the project as shown on the plans and detailed in the specifications dated April 20, 2022 A bid deposit in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount, payable to the Village, is required, unless otherwise stated in the bid package. The deposit must be in the form of a bid bond, certified check, or a bank cashier's check. All bid performance deposit checks will be retained by the Village until the bid award is made, at which time the checks will be promptly returned to the unsuccessful bidders. The bid performance deposit check of the successful bidder will be retained until surety bonding requirements have been satisfied and proof of insurance coverage is provided. All work under this Bid and the resulting contract shall comply with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, 820 ILCS 130/0.01 et seq. and the other applicable laws and ordinances. Offers may not be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days after the bid date without the consent of the Board of Trustees. Any Bid submitted unsealed, unsigned, sent via email or fax, or received subsequent to the aforementioned date and time, will be disqualified and returned to the bidder. The Village reserves the right to reject any and all bid proposals or parts thereof, to waive any irregularities, technicalities, and informalities in bid procedures, to re-advertise the proposed services, to accept the proposal most advantages to the Village, and to award the contract in a manner best serving the interests of the Village.
