SYNOPSIS: Sources Sought The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), Northeast Fisheries Science Center (NEFSC) of the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is conducting market research for the purpose of identifying businesses that demonstrate the capability to provide Janitorial services for two buildings approximately 40,000 sq. ft. per building. The two buildings are located at 74 Magruder Road, Highlands, NJ 07732. Over the course of the next two years, the Sandy Hook campus will transition from two buildings (building 74 and the JJH Laboratory) to one building (JJH Laboratory). This effort will encompass all laboratories, office space, maintenance space, seawater systems and infrastructure support equipment. This transition will require multiple relocation of personnel and a sizable construction project to convert the JJH laboratory into a single use facility supporting NOAA by other resources. The result of this transition will be that the government will abandon building 74. This is a significant reduction in square footage. The NEFSC has a responsibility to maintain a safe, clean, organized, functional, and aesthetically pleasing environment for the staff and visitors. REQUIREMENTS: Janitorial Services - Ensure services are performed in a manner that ensures the health and safety of Federal employees and members of the public; and, both the sanitary conditions and esthetic appearance of Federal buildings. Superior customer service and well-maintained facilities that present a clean, neat and professional appearance shall be furnished INFORMATION REQUESTED: The Government is requesting that all interested vendors provide all personnel, management, supervision, materials, supplies, equipment, tools, transportation and other items or services necessary to provide janitorial services at the NOAA National Marine Fisheries Service facilities located in Sandy Hook, NJ. NOAA may utilize the responses to this Sources Sought to conduct additional market research. Information obtained from this Sources Sought, and the subsequent communication with the vendors, if any, may be utilized to assist NOAA in developing a formal Request for Proposal (RFP) or Request for Quote (RFQ). In addition to addressing technical capabilities, responses must include the following: Name and address of firm Size of business (e.g. small, 8(a) program, small disadvantaged business, woman owned, etc.) Average annual revenue for the past 3 years and number of employees Ownership Number of years in business Affiliate information Parent company, joint venture partners, potential teaming partners, prime contractor (if potential subcontractor) or subcontractors (if potential prime contractor) or 8(a) mentor protege. List of customers covering the past five years (highlighting relevant work performed, contract numbers, contract type, and dollar value of each procurement) Point of contact - address and phone number Indicate whether your company is likely to offer, should a solicitation arise from this market research. This synopsis is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to award a contract, nor will the Government pay for the solicited information.
