Huntsville Utilities will allow for some attendees in person, until maximum capacity is met in our training room. Please send someone in your place representing your company, use the call-in or virtual application given. Bids will be accepted only from qualified General Contractors licensed by the State of Alabama. Only bids of such Contractors who are licensed by the State of Alabama prior to the date of the bid opening will be considered. The Project is generally described as follows: Installation of approximately 13,000 LF of 12" ductile iron water main, 3,300 LF of 14" HDPE water main, and 500 LF of 16" ductile iron water main by open cut, horizontal directional bore and jack & bore. The project also includes installation of 12,300 LF of 8" and 300 LF of 6" PE gas main by open cut and direction bore. Project includes driveway crossings, road crossings, asphalt paving, valving, and all related items for a complete job. Other line items (if applicable) as described in the Specifications and Contract Documents are an integral part of this Contract. The work shall be performed according to the plans and specifications. A cashier's check or a bid bond payable to the City of Huntsville, Alabama, d/b/a/ Huntsville Utilities for an amount not less than 5% of the contractor's bid, but in no event more than $10,000.00, will be required to accompany each contractor's bid. Performance and Payment bonds are required for this project. The right to reject any and all bids is reserved.
