Cary is seeking one or more qualified firm(s) with which to contract for the following services: Seeking experienced planning professionals to complete the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Master Plan. Cary seeks a master plan document that is concise, user friendly and yet visionary. It will need to be fully incorporated into the Engage chapter of the Cary Community Plan. The consultant will collect and analyze data to complete a comprehensive plan that will include recommendations for parks, greenways, recreation, athletic and cultural arts facilities and programs. The consultant will be expected to work closely with Cary staff; Council and citizenappointed boards and committees and will create a document for use and distribution to the public. The Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources (PRCR) Master Plan should represent a bold commitment to continue the tradition of providing a balanced system of cultural arts, active recreation, and passive recreation and conservation facilities for all residents. This planning effort will need to recognize current needs within Cary as well as allow for the flexibility to incorporate future facilities that will address trends and the needs of residents as Cary continues to grow.
