The Village of Ford Heights is soliciting contractor bids for a construction project throughout the Village. This project will involve the repair or replacement of portions of water mains, portions of service line, water valves, and fire hydrants. QUESTIONS DUE: Friday, June 17, 2022, by 5:00 p.m. (Central Time) The Scope of Work as part of this Solicitation is to replace ten (10) water valves and valve boxes and ten (10) fire hydrants throughout the Village Inquiries can be emailed to procurement@anterogroup.com. The Village of Ford Heights ("Village") received funding through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) to implement the Ford Heights Water System Improvement Project. A leak detection survey was performed in April 2021 by M.E. Simpson and a field visit was performed by Antero Group in August 2021. As a result of this survey and field visit, a number of leaks or damage to the water system were determined to be in need of repair. This project seeks to resolve these leaks and damage, which includes the repair or replacement of water mains, service lines, valves, and fire hydrant. These water system repairs will help to improve the functionality of the Ford Heights water distribution system and reduce wasted resources. This water valve, valve box, and fire hydrant replacement project is a part of a larger effort to repair the water system throughout the Village in order to ensure water can safely be provided to the residents and users in the area. This RFP applies to only water valve and fire hydrant work, and the additional repairs to the water system will be coordinated under a separate contract. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
