*Bid cancelled. Durham College of Applied Arts and Technology (the "Institution") is seeking proposals for Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning equipment for a newly constructed building at the Whitby Campus located at 1610 Champlain Ave.
Supply, Delivery and Commissioning is the responsibility of the Proponent. Installation is not within scope of this opportunity.
Please refer to the equipment Drawings and Specifications located in the Associated Bid Documents. The use of a specific Manufacturer's product's or name is to convey the requirements, type, character and quality of the product desired and is not meant to restrict competition. All products submitted for review shall be of equivalent or higher quality than the products listed in this RFP and be similar in appearance, physical footprint and finish.
The Institution reserves the right to determine whether an alternate product is equivalent and meets the requirements of the Institution. The Proponent should maintain the following tentative timelines for delivery and commissioning:
Product Delivery: August/September 2022
Commissioning: December 2022 The Proponent will coordinate with the Institution for equipment delivery.
The Proponent will be responsible for delivery and off-loading. Should the Institution not be ready for the equipment the Proponent shall unload and store the equipment at their cost.
Products shall be shrink wrapped for shipping and to allow for outdoor storage on site (where applicable).
Proponent will be responsible for any costs incurred by the Institution for late/delayed delivery of equipment to the site where the Proponent is responsible for the delay.
Proponent will be responsible for any costs incurred by the Institution as a result of damages to facility or equipment during delivery and commissioning.
Delivery at Place Unloaded (DPU) Incoterms, 2020 shall apply. Successful Proponent (seller) bears all costs and risks involved in bringing the goods to, and unloading them at the named place of destination. Commissioning process shall ensure the equipment is operational and functioning. The commissioning process will confirm that the system meets all the technical requirements stated in the deliverables section. Unless specified otherwise in the Associated Bid Documents, there shall be a minimum one-year product warranty on all equipment, parts, systems and accessories. Proponent will assign to the Institution all manufacturer's warranties for products not manufactured by or for the proponent and will take all necessary steps as required by such third-party manufacturers to effect assignment of such warranties.
