Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Newton, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
Newton Centre Playground Resurfacing Improvements as outlined in the project documents. Bidders requiring clarification or interpretation of the Contract Documents shall make a written request to the Chief Procurement Officer, at purchasing@newtonma.gov or via facsimile (617) 796-1227. The City will only answer such requests if received by Friday, August 19, 2022 at 12:00 noon. Provide all labor, materials, equipment, services, and transportation requiredto completely remove and dispose of the existing playground poured in place safety rubber surfacing layer (3" thickness), remove approximately 2" stone layer sub-base, and complete playground safety tile surfacing installation in two separate areas as shown on the aerial photos below and as specified herein or both. Please note that the playground dimensions (SF) listed below are rough estimates, and it shall be the responsibility of the contractor to perform and confirm all final measurements for the purpose of developing their bid. Bidders shall assume stock colors for rubber surfacing tiles and the purpose of developing their bids, 50% black and 50% slate gray color. Material pattern will be to match in kind, but colors may vary from existing and will be selected by the owner from the stock color samples to be provided by the contractor as part of the submittal process.
