HIDALGO COUNTY WATER IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 3 (the District) is accepting sealed bid proposals for the Electrical Improvements at Pump Stations furnishing all materials, equipment and labor necessary for the Electrical Improvements at Pump Stations in accordance with the plans on file at the District Office. At the time stated, bids will be publicly opened and read at the District Office. A CERTIFIED OR CASHIER'S CHECK, or an acceptable bid bond in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the total bid shall accompany each bid as a guaranty that, if awarded the Contract, the bidder will promptly enter into a contract with the District and furnish bonds on the forms provided PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS AND CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be examined without charge at the District Office or the office of Ferris, Flinn & Medina, LLC.All Bidders must be on the Bidders List maintained by Ferris, Flinn & Medina, LLC. Should the Bidder obtain plans from an alternate source, it is their responsibility to contact the office of Ferris, Flinn & Medina, LLC, to request to be added to the Bidders List. BIDDERS are expected to inspect the site of the work and to inform themselves of all local conditions. All work shall be completed within one hundred eighty (180) calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. HIDALGO COUNTY WATER IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 3 reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any or all informalities, and to award the contract to the bidder or bidders, who, in the opinion of the District offers the proposal in its best interest. The price submitted will be lump sum. The work includes installation of three new reduced voltage, solid state, starters; a new manual transfer switch and related electrical at the Old First Lift Pump Station; construction of a new service and all related appurtenances at New First Lift Pump Station; and electrical improvements at the Second Lift Pump Station. BIDDERS are cautioned that conditional or qualified bids, or bids not in the proper form may be rejected.
