Site work for a water / sewer project in Weston, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The work of this contract generally consists of, but is not limited to, capping and abandoning the Route 128 and Nickerson Field Wells. Additional work includes removal of a hydrant and valve boxes, sealing penetrations to vaults, and removal of above ground equipment. Work at the Nickerson Field Well site also includes the removal of a hydrant and valve boxes, removal of a vent pipe from the well vault, and sealing all penetrations to the well vault. Additional work at the Route 128 Well site includes removal of a hydrant and valve boxes, removal of above ground electrical equipment, sealing of all penetrations to the well vault, removal of small diameter trees within the fence line of the well vault, sealing all penetrations on the transformer, removal of the fencing around the transformer pad. Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of 5% of the total bid amount. A Performance Bond in the amount of 50% and Labor and Materials Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price will be required. Minimum wage rates as determined by the Commissioner of Department of Workforce Development under the provision of the M.G.L. c. 149, 26 to 27D, as amended apply to this project.
