REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS MASON COUNTY DETENTION CENTER ROOFING PROJECT The County of Mason Is Requesting Proposals for the replacement of the old roof materials with a standard industry life expectancy of between 18 25 years on the Mason County Detention Facility located at 102 W. Market St in Havana, IL. This project requires removal and disposal of existing rock surface, cleaning and preparation of roof surface for installation of new material, application of 1.5 roofing foam or similar material, application of a top coat, flashing where required, and installation of drain inserts. This facility currently has a flat roof with A/C units, drains, and vent pipes. The roof was installed in the late 1980s. The County reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any informalities in the proposal process. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be conducted May 25, 2022 at 9 am at the Mason County Courthouse (125 N Plum, Havana, IL 62644). Proposals shall be submitted on the specified form in a sealed envelope marked: "Mason County Detention Roof Project". Proposals must be received no later than 12:00 pm (noon) on Monday, June 6, 2022 at the Office of the County Clerk and must be delivered in person or by the United States Postal Service or courier to the Office of the County Clerk, P.O. Box 77, 125 N. Plum, Havana, IL 62644 at which time the proposals will be opened and publicly read. The County reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any informalities in the proposal process. All work associated with this project shall be completed within 30 days of the start date unless otherwise expressly agreed to in writing by the County.
