Project Category Code: Miscellaneous Description: The project work will consist of the following: The construction of the Biogas Conditioning Building to house the biogas conditioning equipment. The new biogas conditioning equipment has been procured by the City and will be assigned to the Contractor upon award of this Project. The Contractor will take ownership of the conditioning equipment and perform the installation of said equipment. The City intends to also procure the precast, prestressed concrete Biogas Conditioning Building 1400. New transformers will be constructed and connected to the existing medium voltage loop to feed the new electrical distribution and Motor Control Center equipment in the Biogas Conditioning Building. All remaining Process, Electrical, Mechanical and Instrumentation & Control associated with the construction of the Biogas Conditioning Building and site piping per the Contract Documents is included. In conjunction with the construction of the Biogas Conditioning Building, above grade biogas piping and supports will be installed and routed from the existing Digester Complex 900 to the biogas conditioning equipment per the Contract Drawings. Additional biogas system upgrades include but are not limited to, the replacement of the existing Digester Complex 901 gas blowers, the installation of a preliminary biogas filter and heat exchanger, the removal of the existing gas heat exchanger and chiller as well as associated piping and the replacement of existing biogas safety equipment. The construction of a concrete platform, fencing and access drive for the Black Hills Energy (BHE) Gas Analyzer Building and associated site piping as shown on the Contract Drawings. The BHE Gas Analyzer Building, and associated BHE appurtenances will be furnished and installed by Others. Additonal Description: This project requires submission of an Economic Equity and Inclusion Plan (EEIP). This project qualifies for Apprentice utilization. The contractor should attach Apprenticeship Incentive Form (AIF) with their bid submission to utilize this provision. This project does not have an SEB reserve. The PW Department is also requiring verification of a Class A City of Omaha General Contractor's License at the time of bid. Please refer to the Q&A Section for more details on this item.
