Site work and paving for a road / highway in Athens Township, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
**As of June 3, 2022, this project has been awarded to Glenn O. Hawbaker, Inc and the awarded amount is $378,239.70** Paving Contract (work to be done on Pennsylvania Ave. and Lilley Ave. per bid packet): Accepting bids for approximately 1427 CY of excavation, 4467 SY of geotextile, 1453 tons of 2A aggregate, 1092 tons of 25mm asphalt base, and 1576 tons of 9.5mm asphalt wearing course. Bid Bond in the amount of 10% of the contracts is required of all bidders or as directed. Performance bond and payment bond in the amount of 100% of the contract as well as proof of workers compensation insurance will be required from the lowest responsible bidder for each contract or as directed. All work and material must meet current Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Specifications Form 408 and its Supplements. Proposals must be upon the forms furnished by the township. The Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any or all proposals. Prevailing Wage Act is applicable to this project.
