The highly recommended CDBE participation for this solicitation is designated as 23%. This project is a Low Impact Development (LID) stormwater improvement project which includes the installation of 15 bioretention areas along Read, Richland, and Laurel Streets as well as along Haskell Avenue. In targeted areas along these streets, the curb line will be moved out into the roadway, reducing the roadway width and creating additional curb space for the installation of the bioretention cells. In addition to the construction of the bioretention cells, this project calls for demolition of existing pavement areas and curbing, new curbing installation, asphalt resurfacing, the installation of new storm drainage infrastructure, stabilization and landscaping, and the replacement of an existing water main along Laurel Street with a new 6" ductile iron water main. Work called for consists of furnishing and installing equipment, labor, etc. as need to complete the proposed work as described in the plans and specifications
