Long Hill Township TOWNSHIP OF LONG HILL The work to be performed under this contract consists of a streetscape component and a resurfacing component with varying project limits. The streetscape component of the project, Main Street from Valley Road to Morris Street, consists of installing 20 new decorative lighting standards, with 2 luminaires per standard; construction of a new meter cabinet and a new electrical service; construction of 1,806 linear feet of conduit and associated wiring for the installation of the new decorative lighting; modification of an existing signal to install a wireless vehicle detection system, including the replacement of the traffic signal controller; conversion of lamps on existing light standards to LED fixtures; and installation of street furniture including benches, planters and trash receptacles. Additional improvements include the removal of 866 square yards of concrete pavement and restoration with Hot Mix Asphalt Pavement Repair; reconstruction of 234 square yards of concrete driveway aprons and 795 linear feet of Belgian block curb associated with the installation of the new decorative lighting; construction of 190 square yards of concrete sidewalk, 6" thick and 571 linear feet of concrete vertical curb to provide ADA-compatible curb ramps. The resurfacing component of the project, Main / Central Avenue from Valley Road to Long Hill Road, consists of 22,302 SY of Hot Mix Asphalt Milling, 3" or Less; 2,944 Tons of Hot Mix Asphalt Surface Course, 2" thick; installation of traffic stripes & markings; and other incidental work. Bids may be submitted by mail, but will be considered only if received on or before such date and time. The Township will not assume responsibility for bids forwarded through the mail if lost in transit at any time before the bid opening. No bids will be received after the time set forth above. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of PL 1975, c.127 (NJAC 17:27), and PL 1977, c.33. The Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive immaterial informalities, and/or to accept the bid which, in the opinion of the Township, will be in the best interest of the Township, all in accordance with the New Jersey Public Contract Law N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et. seq.
