Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Green Cove Springs, Florida. Completed plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
This project involves the construction of a masonry pump station with 4 vertical turbine variable frequency drive pumps, a raw water intake structure in the south fork of Black Creek (an active and navigable waterway), sitework, an intake piping system (42" micro-tunnel casing with a 24" carrier pipe), concrete work, mech piping, instrumentation, and elect components. The pump station will be capable of drawing up to 10 MGD of water from Black Creek. Under one or more subsequent solicitations, approximately 17 miles of 30" D.I. pipe will be purchased and installed to pipe water from the pump station to Alligator Creek. The construction cost estimate range for the pump station, intake structure, and related work is $10M - $14M. For solicitations with mandatory pre-bid conferences, the District will only accept bids from those firms attending the pre-bid conference.
