Renovation of a municipal facility in Louisville, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The University of Louisville requests Bidders to make a concerted effort to include Minority-Owned and Woman-Owned Business Enterprises as subcontractors or suppliers on its projects. The University Form of Proposal includes forms for Bidders to record those MBE and/or WBE businesses who are solicited and selected for this project. The University has established a Preferable Goal for construction/renovation project participation at 20% Minority Owned and 5% Woman-Owned Businesses. Alternatively, firms may also achieve this goal with a combined Minority and Women participation level of 25% for the project. Time is of the essence. The Contractor shall commence work within ten calendar days after issuance of the Work Order or execution of the Owner/Contractor Agreement, whichever comes first and not later than August 8 th , 2022. The Contractor shall complete all phases of this Contract by December 23 rd , 2022. Completion of the work is understood to mean that the Contractor has completed the work described and that it has been accepted by the Owner. For any delay in substantial or final completion, the Contractor and their sureties shall be liable for, and shall pay to the Owner, the aggregate sum of Two-Hundred Fifty Dollars ($100.00) as fixed, agreed and liquidated damages for each calendar day of delay until the contract work is completed and accepted.
