As of June 17, 2022, the project is not awarded. No definite date for the rebid. The University of Louisville, Department of Procurement Services will receive bids for the Kornhauser Library Renovation. Project includes renovation of existing office & corridor space and addition of two wheelchair lifts for stage access. Usage and occupancy remain unchanged. The approximate square footage is 1160 gross square feet office/lift renovations and 934 sf of finishes in the corridor. The work includes demolition and removal of existing casework, some walls, and finishes, and mechanical, plumbing, and electrical items. New work will include new finishes, some new doors and hardware, new walls, and the installation of new wheelchair lifts. New demising walls are metal studs and gypsum board. The furniture which will be purchased and installed by the University will be a table and loose chair configuration. This contract's scope will require the coordination for the installation of power to the a few furniture items as described in the documents by an electrical subcontractor. The building and directly adjacent spaces will be occupied. Bids received after this time shall be deemed non-responsive and will not be considered for award. Public opening will be, at the University of Louisville, Belknap Campus, Service Complex Building. Work Start: Monday June 27, 2022 Final Completion: December 16, 2022 Vendors requesting clarifications to this Invitation to Bid may submit in writing questions for official response by the University. All questions received shall be addressed by the University via addenda and sent to all known recipients of the Invitation to Bid. The University has established a Preferable Goal for construction/renovation project participation at 20% Minority Owned and 5% Woman-Owned Businesses. Alternatively, firms may also achieve this goal with a combined Minority and Women participation level of 25% for the project.
