As of June 15, 2022 This project is awarded to H & K Group, Inc. with awarded amount of $237,371.91. e Mahanoy Township Supervisors, Schuylkill County Pennsylvania for the Robinsons Road Dirt and Gravel Road Project. Bids for this Contract shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Bid. All Bids shall be effective for sixty (60) calendar days. The Work generally consists of furnishing all equipment, labor and materials for, but not necessarily limited to, the following: Grade road to rough profile, compact road surface, placement and compaction of 2A aggregate road base, construct broad based dips, installation of rip-rap bank stabilization and maintenance and protection of traffic. The work is more specifically identified in the project manual/bid documents and project sketch. The project documents contain provisions regarding the applicability of PA Prevailing Wages. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price. This project is funded by a Dirt & Gravel and Low Volume Road Grant. Mahanoy Township reserves the right to reject any or all BIDS or portions thereof and to accept any BIDS, which in its judgment is for the best interest of the Township. Mahanoy Townshipand their representatives are not responsible for bids mailed but not received. 1. Road Grading a. Grade existing roadway as necessary (crown or cross-slope as determined during a pre-construction conference) to allow for the placement of the 2A aggregate. Subgrade shall be compacted before the placement of the 2A aggregate. 2. 2" - 3" (Loose) Depth 2A Placement and Compaction a. Grade subgrade to accommodate desired drainage pattern. b. Compact subgrade area prior to commencing 2A installation. c. Contractor is responsible for hauling and placing the material. i. The contractor shall be responsible to provide weight slips for the materials delivered to the job site and obtain a daily Certificate of Material from the supplier. d. Place and compact 2A Stone in graded and compacted area.
