2022 Concrete Program Each Bid must contain the full name or names of the party or parties making the same, with an affidavit as to interested parties and in the case of a corporation not chartered in Ohio, with a proper certificate that such corporation is authorized to do business in Ohio. Each bidder is required to furnish with its Proposal a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code or a certified check or cashier's check equal to ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, payable to the Village of Walton Hills. The Bid security in Bond form shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. The Bid Guaranty will be held, if the Bid Proposal is accepted, to guarantee a Contract will be entered into in accordance with ORC 153.54. The price of material and labor bid for shall be separately stated. This project is partially funded by the Cuyahoga County Department of Development's Block Grant Program. A bidder/contractor will be deemed committed to the Department of Labor's goals and timetables for the Cleveland, Ohio area as specified in the Notice of Requirements for Affirmative Action to ensure Equal Employment Opportunity Order 11246 by submitting a properly signed bid. Each bidder must insure that all employees and applicants for the employment are not discriminated against because of their race, creed, color, sex or national origin. Small Business Enterprises (SBE's) are encouraged to participate on this project. The goal for SBE participation is 35% of total contract award for this project. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable, use Ohio Products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, The Governor's Executive Order of 1972, and Governor's Executive Order 84-9 shall be required. Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond or check, as the case may be, will be held as a guarantee that, if the Bid Proposal is accepted, a Contract will be entered into between the bidder and the Village of Walton Hills, and the performance of such Contract secured by said check or bond. In default thereof said bond or check, and the amount represented thereby, shall be forfeited to the Village of Walton Hills as liquidated damages. The owner intends and requires that this project be completed no later than August 31, 2022. Council of the Village of Walton Hills reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities in the bids received, and to accept any bid which it deems most favorable to the Village.
