The Municipality of Yarmouth itself, has a strong desire to move forward with green-energy projects and plans to add capital projects for this purpose in their capital investment plan in future years. The findings of this Energy Study for Community Buildings would give community-based organizations, as well as the Municipality, the data, timelines and projected costing to allow them to leverage funds fromother Provincial and Federal streams in order to improve their locations and reduce Greenhouse Gas emissions. The Municipality is requesting proposals to complete this energy study on the following buildings: Municipally-owned buildings:
1. Municipal Administration Building: 932 Highway 1, Hebran, Nava Scotia BSA 5Z5.
Z. Rotary Centre: 107 Cemetary Rd, Hebron, NS, BSA 4A5.
3. ZS RCOM Drive: 28 Ream Dr, Yarmouth, NS BSA 4A8.
Community owned buildings:
1. South Ohio Community Center: 307 Lake George Rd, South Ohio, NS BSA 5M9
2. Greenville Community Centre: 724 Greenville Rd, Greenville, NS BSA 516
3. Melbourne Community Centre: 741 Melbourne Road, RR#l, Arcadia, NS BOW 180
4. Brazil lake Hall: 9 Lake Annis Road, Yarmouth, BSA 4N5.
5. Bay Shore Community Club: 672 Pembroke Road, Pembroke, NS, BSA 4A7 A successful application to the NS Department of Natural Resources and Renewables has made this project and RFP possible. The application is attached in Appendix A. The Municipality reserves the right to reject any or all submissions, cancel the project and make a procurement decision in the best interest of the Municipality. This work needs to be started by July 4 th 2022 and completed before December 1 st 2022. Respondents are required to include their proposed start date and completion date in their submission. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
