Job No. OWR-415, Dam Safety Studies for the Sears and Steel Dams, Rock Island County, Illinois Department of Natural Resources. This project requires 19% DBE participation, or if the contract goal is not met, documented evidence of good faith efforts. The Complexity Factor for this project is 0. The Consultant who is selected for this project and all Subconsultants the Prime Consultant will be using are scheduled to attend an initial meeting on July 7, 2022, at 10:00 AM at the Illinois Department of Natural Resources headquarters, One Natural Resources Way, in Springfield. The Consultant selected for this project will be expected to provide Dam Safety Studies including planning/alternative analysis services, as needed, at dam removal/modification project sites in Rock Island County, Illinois. It is anticipated that the services will be required at both the Sears and Steel Dam sites on the Rock River in Rock Island County, Illinois. Work orders under the agreement will be negotiated and authorized by the department for each dam safety study site on an as needed basis. There may be times during the contract that both dam safety studies will be occurring concurrently. The Consultant must be able to perform the required services at both sites and within an agreed upon time frame when requested by the department. The Consultant is expected to provide dam safety studies which will include planning activities related to exploring potential public safety improvements at the state-owned Sears and Steel dams up to and including dam removals.
