Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Alturas, California. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field; and for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

The Modoc County Road Department is soliciting Proposals from qualified design consultants with knowledge of playground design, building construction, walking trail, and landscaping beautification. Consultants are to design multiple park rehabilitation and beautification features as detailed in this Request for Proposals (RFP). The type and quantity of equipment desired varies by location and specified by the County. Equipment design must meet the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and utilize International Playground Equipment Manufacturers Association (IPEMA) certified equipment that meets or exceeds all federal and state guidelines, and conforms to the playground-related technical standards set by the American Society of Testing Materials International (ASTM) and the U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission. Final Date for Inquiries to the Road Department for Written Clarification(s) of the Request for Qualifications Responses to RFPs are due Thursday, May 19, 2022 prior to 4:00 PM Any questions related to this RFP shall be submitted in an email to both Lillian Toaetolu (lilliantoaetolu@co.modoc.ca.us), and Dale Merrick (dalemerrick@co.modoc.ca.us). Questions shall be submitted before 4:00 PM on Thursday, May 19, 2022. No oral question or inquiry about this RFP shall be accepted. Total amount payable to the Consultant is approximately $375,000 and with a performance period of the contract from the date of approved by the Modoc County Board of Supervisors until January 2023.
