Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Vicksburg, Mississippi. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

Project consists of drainage improvements in parking lot, near front entrance, and asphalt repairs/ parking lot resurfacing at Bovina Elementary School. Scope includes trench drains, installation of concrete inlets, installation of storm drain piping, asphalt base repairs, asphalt milling, asphalt overlay, and parking lot striping. Proposals shall be submitted in duplicate only upon the blank proposal forms provided with the specifications and must be accompanied by Proposal Security in the form of a Certified Check or acceptable Bid Bond in the amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the Base Bid: such security to be forfeited as liquidated damages, not penalty, by any bidder who fails to carry out the terms of the proposal, execute a contract and post-Performance and Payment Bonds in the form and amount within the time specified. The Bid Bond, if used , shall be payable to the Owner. Bids will be thereafter publicly opened and read aloud. All bids submitted in excess of $50,000 by a prime or Subcontractor to do any erection, building, construction, repair, maintenance, or related work must comply with the Mississippi Contractors Act of 1985, by securing a Certificate of Responsibility from the State Board of Contractors. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 90 days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. The owner reserves the right to postpone action and final decision for a period of up to ninety (90) days. Successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed anticipated date of June 10, 2022, and shall complete the Work by Substantial Completion August 19, 2022. Work is subject to liquidated damages. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder.
