The scope of work includes removing and replacing two (2) pedestrian bridges in-kind that cross the Rappahannock Canal and connect to the Rappahannock Canal Path. The bridge sites are the following: o Normandy Bridge (Serial #94408): Removal, disposal, and replacement o Tom & Ruth Higgins Bridge (Serial #85153): Removal, disposal, and replacement The work generally includes removal and disposal of identified existing bridges, placement of new bridges, potential abutment changes, accessibility upgrades, related utility work (if any), protection/removal and replacement of existing vegetation, and maintenance of adjacent pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
