Qualified Contractors to replace 2 bridges Deadline to submit questions - 5/20/2022 by 4:00 P.M The City will respond to questions NLT 5/27/2022 Notification to Offerors of the short-list 7/05/2022 Anticipated RFP Release Date 7/12/2022 Technical Proposals are due 9/6/2022 Price Proposals are due 9/22/2022 Anticipated Award Date: October 2022 Final Completion: Not later than December 2023 The project is located in the City of Fredericksburg, Virginia. The scope of work includes removing and replacing two (2) pedestrian bridges in-kind that cross the Rappahannock Canal and connect to the Rappahannock Canal Path. The bridge sites are the following: o Normandy Bridge (Serial #94408): Removal, disposal, and replacement o Tom & Ruth Higgins Bridge (Serial #85153): Removal, disposal, and replacement The work generally includes removal and disposal of identified existing bridges, placement of new bridges, potential abutment changes, accessibility upgrades, related utility work (if any), protection/removal and replacement of existing vegetation, and maintenance of adjacent pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
