The City of Vidalia, Georgia, is seeking Competitive Sealed Proposals from qualified Contractors to provide professional services on an on-call basis under an annual contract to facilitate and coordinate the removal, collection and disposal of debris following a disaster. It is the intent to enter into a pre-event contract, which would result in no immediate cost to the City of Vidalia, GA. The Contractor shall provide all materials and services necessary in the performance of this bid. The City of Vidalia does not guarantee a minimum value for this contract. noverstreet@vidaliaga.gov Performance and Payment Bond: Upon receipt of a work order (notice to proceed), the successful proposer shall furnish a Performance and Payment Bond, or alternative form of performance and payment security such as; a money order, certified or cashiers check, cash (U.S. currency only), letter of credit; equaling one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount of an assigned project. Receipt of said Performance and Payment Bond or alternative form of security; shall occur no later than ten (10) calendar days after receiving a notice to proceed. No commencement of work shall be authorized by the City without receipt of the Performance Bond or alternative security. The Performance and Payment Bond shall be submitted in the form of a Payment and Performance Bond; in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount awarded under an assigned project, made payable to City of Vidalia, issued by a Surety firm and through a reputable and responsible surety bond agency licensed to do business in the State of Georgia.
