Renovation of an educational facility in Fulton, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
You are invited to bid on the Window renovations project for Fulton High school. Renovations to the existing second and third floor toilet rooms. Lump sum bids will be received as follows: The Owner reserves the right to accept Bidder's Base Bid, accept any one or more of the Bidder's Alternate Bid's, reject any or all Bids, award contract based on its investigation of the Bidder's, as well as acceptance of Alternates all of which the Owner deems to be in its best interest and waive any informalities or minor irregularities in the Bids and waive minor irregularities in the bidding procedure, all at the Owner's discretion. Estimated construction cost of $450,000 Contract documents may be obtained in electronic format (pdf's) from the Architect's Moline office. A certified check, a cashiers check or a bid bond payable to the Owner in an amount not less than 5% of the maximum bid shall accompany each bid as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, the Bidder will execute and file the proposed contract and bond within ten days after the award of contract. The Owner nor the Architect will be providing additional SETS of drawings for construction use. It is each Contractor and Sub-Contractor responsibility to review and obtain FULL SETS of construction documents and addendums for bidding and construction purposes. No additional sets of plans and specifications will be issued by the Owner or the Architect for construction. Prevailing Wage Rates: A. All Contractors must pay the Prevailing Wage Rates as established by the Illinois Department of Labor. Contractor shall submit with each payment request the weekly payroll forms required by the Davis-Bacon Act (40-U.S.C. 327 et seq. (1982)). Payroll form WH-347 or similar information. Payroll forms shall be submitted (one copy) for each person employed on the jobsite by each contractor and all subcontractors. Illinois Preference Act: A. All contractors, subcontractors, and those supplying labor to this project shall comply with the "Employment of Illinois Workers on Public Works Act" (30 ILCS 570/) commonly referred to as the Illinois Preference Act. Bidders shall bring discrepancies, omissions and conflicts of doubt as to true meaning of any part of the contract documents to the attention of Architect, Mark Miller at 309.517.5073 by May 11, 2022. Every Prime Contractor, for work under this project, shall furnish surety company bond in an amount not less than full amount of this contract as security for faithful performance of contract, and shall furnish a labor bond and material payment bond. Bonds shall continue for twelve months after date of final certificate for payment. See Instructions to Bidders regarding bonds required on Owner Purchased items.
