Expected duration of the contract without the options (in months): 36 BAnQ wishes to obtain the services of a contractor specializing in electricity to perform various electrical work on request, including supplies, materials and other accessories that may be required for repairs, replacements, additions and modifications to existing electrical installations. Interested contractors must hold a contractor's license specializing in electricity required under Chapter IV of the Building Act (CQLR, cB-1.1). The work will be carried out at one of the following BAnQ buildings: the Grande Bibliothèque located at 475, boulevard de Maisonneuve Est, the National Library located at 2275, rue Holt and the Bibliothèque Saint-Sulpice located at 1700, rue St-Denis. All these buildings are located in Montreal. The work covered by this mandate relates, among other things, to: replacement of faulty electrical appliances, electrical heating units, etc;
the addition and modification of sockets, switches, circuit breakers, relays and any other electrical equipment;
installation, addition and modification to electrical wiring and distribution;
maintenance and cleaning of panels, transformers and other electrical installations as requested by the BAnQ representative;
repair and replacement of lighting fixtures including tubes, bulbs, ballasts, voltage regulators, etc. Note, the scope of non-construction work provided for in sections C and D of the price schedule (Appendix 2.00 of the Tender Form) includes the following elements: change of fluorescents and any other type of interior and exterior lighting lamps;
maintenance and repair of electric heating systems (radiators, coils, etc.);
inspection and maintenance verification for all electrical components and equipment, from the main electrical entrance to the connected loads;
taking measurements, readings. NB: All other works than those listed above are considered of a construction nature according to law R20. BAnQ asks interested contractors to submit hourly rates for the execution of the work. The rates submitted must comply with the construction decree in force and include in particular the cost of labour, mandatory rate contributions, contributions or remittances to the Commission for Standards, Equity, Health and safety fees, contributions or remittances to the Commission de la construction du Québec, tooling costs, service call and travel expenses, general expenses, administration expenses, fringe benefits , profits and indirect costs inherent in the contract and, when applicable, all taxes, fees and customs duties, permits, licenses and insurance. The service contract must also include an hourly rate for emergency repair services that will cover the 7 days a week, 24 hours a day time slot. of BAnQ as specified in Section 14 of this document. BAnQ also asks interested contractors to submit a rate for administration and profit costs applicable to the supply of materials, equipment and subcontracting. These rates must be entered in the places specified in Table 1 of the price schedule (Appendix 2.00 of the Tender Form).
